About Colleen

Colleen Robledo Greene, MLIS, is a librarian, genealogist, historian, college educator, and tech nerd. She is the Digital Scholarship Librarian at the Pollak Library at California State University, Fullerton. Her prior roles at the Pollak Library include: Digital Literacy Librarian, Marketing Librarian, and Systems Librarian. Colleen is on the leadership team for the Mellon Foundation-funded CSUF DEFCon (Digital Ethnic Futures Consortium) at Cal State Fullerton, and is one of the founding members of the DH@CSU (Digital Humanities at the Cal State University system) Consortium.

Colleen is also a lecturer for the San Jose State University School of Information, where she teaches an online graduate-level U.S. genealogy course for future librarians and archivists, which focuses on the Genealogical Proof Standard. She is a nationally recognized professional genealogy educator who specializes in teaching methodology; Mexican, Mexican-American, and Hispanic research; libraries and archives; and technology.
